Front bloody brake

I need to find out why the brakes are binding, if i push the bike forward its OK. If on the other hand I need to push backward especially with the wheel pointing to the right it would stop. so lets overhaul the calliper.

Very manky inside.

The steel piston was badly pitted.

Brake fluid has damaged the seal.

New bearings ready to fit.

Clean new seal and stainless steel piston fitted.

Re-route the brake line as I still have the
binding issue, must be some thing else.

Front Wheel Bearing

After cleaning I notice the retainer is missing.

knock both bearings out.

The rubber shield is warped.

More damage.

No wonder they were stiff.

Nice new ones.

In the freezer for an hour or two before fitting.

   

New bearing in.speed drive side.

New bearing in disk side.

Old speedo drive seal damaged.

New seal and all clean.
